Store Closing Sale Events

On-Going Furniture and Fixture Sale 

Please note that almost all of our store fixtures are for sale! Prices are marked on most items. So, if you’ve ever wanted your very own professional display, now’s the time!  

We are selling all our cropping tables, chairs, lamps, and more. We are also selling a lot of our office equipment as well, including our color laser printer, fax machine, coffee maker, blender, our office desks, microwave ovens, bookshelves, adjustable shelves, security mirrors, paper trays, and so forth. We also are selling our 8 camera color security system including the digital video recorder and controlling PC. Please tell your friends, indeed, tell anyone you know who might be interested in our furniture, fixtures, or equipment!

Other Events This Month:

Kits of the Week - Check out our Kits of the Week! Each kit consists of a two-page layout!!!  Come in on Tuesdays to see our newest creations or check out our Kit Corner if you have missed one or two! Just two kits of the week this month – the first comes out on Tuesday December 15^th and the second will be out on Tuesday December 22^nd.
 

All Day Crops – Join us on Saturday December 12^th  and Saturday December 19^th for two fun all day crops! As usual, you can expect some of your very favorite staff people to be there in addition to prizes and refreshments. A mere $15 for a fabulous day of fun and friends!!!

Merry Christmas! – We’ll be closed of course on Christmas Day but we will also be closing early at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday December 24^th in order to give our wonderful staff some time off to get ready for Santa! Thanks for understanding!!

Our Final Day of operation will be Saturday December 26^th.  We will be open from 10 a.m. until the Contest Prizes are awarded at 1:00 p.m.

Jolly By Golly Album with Jody: If you loved Jody’s Summertime album, you will love this Christmas/Winter album! Designed by Jody with Cosmo Cricket’s Jolly by Golly line, this album will have you felling wintertime warmth. As always this album is a great interactive album that will surely be a family favorite! Class is Sunday, December 6^th, 12-5 pm. $50 

Christmas Mixed Book with Kristi: Kristi has designed a fun mixed chipboard and acrylic album full of Christmas cheer. Designed by Kristi with Making Memories’ Christmas line, you will be feeling that “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”. Kristi designed this album to hold lots of photos and will be sharing a few ideas in class on how to add even more! Class is Monday, December 7^th, 6-9pm. $40 

Bo Bunny Holly Jolly Christmas with Katina: This luxurious chipboard album is a beautiful Christmas tribute album. The burgundy infused red and evergreen infused green colors are warm and jolly. Adorned with Santa and holly, you will be singing “A Holly Jolly Christmas” when you see this beautiful album. Come make this heirloom piece on Tuesday, December 8^th, 6-9 pm. $30 

Chip n Dale Disney Layout by Mary Lou: This month features "Chip and Dale". Besides the basic tool kit you will need a paper piercer, white pen, and Chestnut Roan chalk ink.Tuesday, December 8^th, 6-8 pm. $20 

Teresa Collins’ Favorite Recipe with Jessica: If you have missed this class the first time around, here is your last chance to make this perfectly Teresa Collins recipe book! Jessica will be teaching you how to complete this elegant recipe book. Mmmm! I can smell the holiday food now! Class is on Wednesday, December 9^th, 6-9 pm. $30 

All For the Little One’s with Jody: Jody has done it again! This is the cutest page with so many interactive elements it is like a mini book within your album! Jody uses Doodlebug’s Christmas line, magnet’s, We R photo sleeves and lots of cute embellishments! It is really two pages and so very hard to describe except with “Cute”! Come check out this class and sign up for Thursday, December 10^th , 6-9 pm. $35 

Merry Cards by Mary Lou: There are five cards; a Christmas, birthday, Valentine, an all purpose and a "Just Because" card. You will need a basic tool kit; paper piercer, Dark brown and Chestnut Roan chalk inks, Stickles (orange peel) and Diamond glaze or Glossy Accents. Friday, December 11^th, 1-3 pm. $20 

Kat’s Last Challenge: Katina has some great plans to end with a bang and has come up with a wonderful last challenge. If you’ve ever been a Kat Challenger, you should attend this dessert, crafting, and sharing session. Katina was unfortunately ill in November and so this is also the rescheduled challenge. Join her and fellow staffers on Monday, December 14^th, 6-7 pm. $15 

Bo Bunny Winter Album: Katina has chosen the elegant Bo Bunny winter chipboard book! This would be a great complement to the Christmas Holly Jolly Bo Bunny Book! In beautiful blues and purples with silver undertones you’ll be singing “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” when you see this album. Come and complete your winter album Tuesday, December 15^th, 6-9 pm. $30

Make 'n' Takes

Three Marvelous Make 'N' Take Mondays this month! Drop by on Monday December 7^th, 14^th,  and 21^st for the most scrapbookin' fun you can possibly have in just five minutes!!! And the best part...it's FREE!!!  More or less. Make 'N' Takes are free with a $5 purchase OR you can purchase the Make 'N' Take for a nominal fee (to be determined, depending on the project).  Make N' Takes are available while supplies last!  Thank you in advance for your understanding!

Famous Last Words

How do you sum up six years of your life in a few words? It’s tough, and even for me, it’s enough to bring tears to my eyes. Our business has been nothing if not for being about the people involved and our relationships with them. Over the years, staff has become family, and customers have become friends. A “mere” small business became a “happy place” not only for us but for you too.

Now we have to say good-bye to that happy place and to you too, and it’s tough to do.  To say this business decision has been one of the most difficult we have ever made would be quite an understatement indeed. I know Shelly felt like she was going to personally be letting down many people, but we truly had no choice. She wanted to go out on top, and not wait to the bitter end. She wanted her “happy place” to stay that way in both her memory and in yours, and in that I believe she succeeded greatly.

As is her style, we are going out with a bang – and hope you have as much fun with our store-ending prize giveaway contest as we had in creating it.

It seems like only a few moments ago when, with more than a little trepidation, Shelly opened the doors to the, then, Memory Shelf, for the first time. We didn’t really know what would happen, but we did know we had the strong support of our staff, and quickly, we developed relationships with many customers that are even stronger today.

We got nervous all over again when we moved and then expanded, becoming Scrapbook Fever. Nervousness gave way to excitement as the store just blossomed.

As for me, I remember clearly the first time I sat down to write the monthly newsletter from CHA in Atlanta. Each month, I would wonder and sometimes worry over what I was going to say to close each issue. When in doubt, I would share something personal, because, at the end of the day, that’s what our business has been – something personal – to us as well as to you.

It may be trite, but nonetheless true, to say that we could not have made it this far without you. It has been a great ride.

I believe what differentiates scrapbooking from other hobbies and crafts is because it is all about people and relationships. Let’s hope we all continue on in the spirit of Scrapbook Fever, in our very own happy places, and rejoice in each other’s lives and relationships. Even if it won’t be here, Shelly and I still wish you all
